What are the odds you will ever
hit a TT or TS?
These jackpots are the most difficult in greyhound racing.
That's also why the payoffs run from a low of $10K to
a high of $250K or more! So, if you think someone or a
group of players (or syndicate) can just buy a Twin-Tri
or Tri-Super race think again!
In order to buy (or guarantee to hit) a Twin-Tri it would
cost $112,896. It would cost $564,480 to buy a Tri-Super.
This is the reason these Jackpots are so difficult to
hit.

| 50% 1st leg |
After the track takes out (%) the balance is divided
by 50% and paid to all the winners on the 1st leg. |
| |
|
| 50% 2nd leg |
The carryover of 50% is added to the jackpot which
then grows after every card until hit or given away. |

Exchanges are the winning tickets that
you have on the 1st leg of the jackpot. The more exchanges you have,
the better are your chances to hit the jackpot.
| Lets suppose that |
- You played a Twin-Tri
- 1st leg is Race #10
- 2nd leg is Race #12
|
| |
| You
played the following tickets |
| |
|
|
$1 Twin-Tri 1 >
2 > All
|
Cost you $6.00 |
|
$3 Twin-Tri 1 >
2 > 345
|
Cost you $9.00 |
|
$4 Twin-Tri 1 >
2 > 678
|
Cost you $12.00 |

|
| What's
next? |
|
This is where you turn in your exchange tickets and "exchange"
them for 4 combinations on the 2nd leg (race #12 in this example).
It's like if you only had $4.00 to bet a trifecta on any race.
This is why it's best to hit the 1st leg as many times as
possible to get more exchanges and have a much better chance
at hitting the 2nd leg jackpot and so you can make big profits!

 |
 |
| |
| Step |
Description |
| 1. |
 |
Handicap and set up the 1st
leg race of the Twin-Tri or Tri-Super jackpot. |
|
| |
|
| 2. |
|
Go to the betting window and play your
winning trifecta combination as many times as you need
it. You can play the same combination multiple times
to get more chances to hit the 2nd leg and the jackpot. |
|
| |
|
| 3. |
Watch
the 1st leg race for the results. |
| |
|
| 4. |
 |
Take your winning ticket(s) to the betting window
where you will get paid for each winning combination
you have. So, it's a great bet because you are getting
paid after each leg.
After you get paid for winning the 1st leg, you then
get a free bet on the 2nd leg for every winning ticket
you won on the 1st leg. If you have one winning ticket
then you only get to play one bet (a straight play)
on the 2nd leg or jackpot leg.
So, for each winning ticket you have on the 1st leg,
you get that exact number of bets for free on the
2nd leg. On a Twin-Trifecta you have to play a trifecta
bet on the 2nd leg. On a Tri-Super you have to play
a superfecta bet on the 2nd leg.
Exp: If you have 3 winning tickets on the 1st leg
you can play just $3 in free combinations on the 2nd
leg.
|
|
| |
|
| 5. |
Watch
the 2nd leg for the results. |
| |
|
| 6. |
 |
Depending on the payout method that your track offers,
if you hit all numbers in the 2nd leg you would then
win the jackpot. If your track has a "closest
number payout", then you only need to get closer
than anyone else to win!
Exp: 1-2-3-all, could be a winner to 1 player.
Exp: 1-2-all-all, could be a winner to 1 player.
If your track offers a "share all payout"
and there are no winners, then the entire jackpot
is shared equally between all the 1st leg exchange
ticket holders. So, the more exchange tickets you
have, the more money you make.

|
If nobody has a winning 2nd leg ticket the jackpot
is given away to the person(s) holding a winning ticket which
comes closest to the winning combination. |
| |
|
| Rollover
|
This jackpot keeps growing until hit. Makes for
very big carryover and huge jackpots. |
| |
|
| Guaranteed
|
The same as a regular jackpot pool with one exception, the
track guarantees the jackpot will not be smaller than the
set amount.
Exp: a $25K guaranteed jackpot will always pay at least $25K
on the 2nd or payoff leg.
|
| |
|
| Capped |
This is a jackpot that has reached it's set limit. Some of
these jackpots are given away once they reach $50K, $100K
& $500K!
These are the biggest jackpots in greyhound racing. Everyone
is always chasing these jackpots knowing that they will reach
a mandatory given away day.
|
| |
|
 |
WARNING!! Unless you feel
very sure you can hit both the front and back leg of a Twin-Trifecta
or Tri-Super race, you should never play the "1st leg"
of these jackpot races as they are a very poor value.
The reason is that to build
up a big jackpot the track always takes at least 50% of the
amount bet on the 1st leg. Then they add this amount to the
2nd leg carryover. As a result, they only payout 50% to the
winners of the 1st leg, instead of 100% (less their %). So,
the 1st leg trifecta pays 50% of what it usually should or
less because a non-giveaway is never played hard.
